Known Conflicts

Scripts known to have conflicts with LifelessPeople's servers

The following scripts have been known to have conflicts with LifelessPeople's servers:

  • phpMyAdmin [1]
  • EasyMod for phpBB [2] [3] [4]
    • The new EasyMOD 0.3 release is known to work without problems on LifelessPeople's servers.
  • PhpWiki [5]

Furthermore, the following scripts are incompatible with MySQL 5, and anyone running these scripts must either choose another script, or open a support ticket to get it working [6]:

  • ZenCart: All versions. (See osCommerce for an alternative.)
  • Invision Power Board: All versions under 2.1.4(citation needed). (See Simple Machines Forum for an alternative.)

Additionally, the following scripts are banned due to a negative impact on server performance:[7]

  • AlienForm (all versions)
  • formmail.pl
  • Greymatter (all versions)
  • Open Webmail
  • Ikonboard (all versions)
  • IRC Egg Drops & IRC related programs.
  • Chat software. (EX: phpMyChat)
  • Web statistics software not run by the system. (EX: Awstats installed on your website by you.)
  • lstmrge.cgi
  • Proxy Servers & Scripts (EX: nph-proxy)
  • Shell, SSH, Telnet Scripts and Shell, SSH, Telnet Alternatives (cgitelnet.pl)
  • The Anonymizer
  • UltimateBBS (all versions)
  • YABB + YABB se (all versions)
  • Any script that uses & processes a massive number of flatfiles or large flatfile databases.
